The gold

What PAXG is

One PAXG token = one fine troy ounce of a London Good Delivery bar, held in Brink's vaults and administered by Paxos (a regulated New York trust). Bars are allocated with serial-number lookup, independently attested, and redeemable.

Three properties that matter:

  • Independent value — the price is the gold price, unaffected if Ore vanished.
  • Independent audit — not Ore's own accounting.
  • Liquidity — a live market, not points.

The dashboard shows grams; 1 troy oz = 31.1035g.

PAXG on Robinhood Chain

The reserve asset is the canonical-bridge PAXG on Robinhood Chain at 0xc700C81925D1d1C10F996fA7c0Dee83a54C4Bb8D. Each token is backed 1:1 by the Ethereum-native PAXG locked at 0x45804880De22913dAFE09f4980848ECE6EcbAf78 on Ethereum via the canonical Arbitrum bridge (Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum-based L2). Bridging moves the same ounce-backed unit between chains; it does not mint new PAXG.

See Bridging for how to move PAXG on or off Robinhood Chain.

How the reserve works

The distributor holds PAXG on Robinhood Chain. The treasury converts pons fee revenue into PAXG and deposits it into the reserve as labeled on-chain events. Each cycle's allocation is bounded by what has been deposited; claims draw the reserve down. The base entitlement pays in full or the claim reverts. The reserve balance is public on Blockscout.

Honest caveat: keeping the reserve funded is operational, listed in Risks.

Gold per cycle

Each cycle's emission — the PAXG to be split pro-rata among holders — is published in the snapshot and shown live on the dashboard. The keeper cannot allocate more than the reserve has undeposited headroom for, so the number the dashboard shows is the number holders actually receive.
