Glossary

A reference for the terms used throughout these docs. Kept short on purpose — each entry links back to the section that explains it in context.

Cycle

A fixed 15-minute window, 96 per day, measured by the clock; each is snapshotted and its gold distributed.

Delivery (default mode)

PAXG sent directly to holder wallets each cycle at 1.00x. The default; no action required.

Hold mode

The opt-in switch that accrues gold with the bonus instead of delivering; claim anytime at up to 1.30x.

Cumulative entitlement

A hold-mode holder's lifetime accrued gold; only ever grows; claimable forever.

Distributor

The contract holding the reserve, the Merkle root, the hold toggle, and the claim logic.

Eligible supply

All ORE outside the pool, treasury, and distributor. Denominator for every pro-rata share.

Emission (gold per cycle)

The PAXG distributed each cycle, bounded by deposits.

Keeper

The open-source service that snapshots balances, delivers gold, publishes data, and posts roots. It cannot exceed deposits or pay anyone twice.

Merkle root

The on-chain commitment to hold-mode entitlements each cycle. Claims prove membership against it.

ORE

The standard fixed-supply token launched on pons; holding it is all that is required.

PAXG

Paxos Gold: one token = one troy ounce of allocated, attested physical gold; paid as canonical-bridged PAXG on Robinhood Chain.

pons

Robinhood Chain's launchpad: token + locked WETH pool in one transaction, with a creator share of trading fees.

Reserve

The PAXG backing distributions; deposits are public; gold leaves only through deliveries and claims.

Snapshot

The published per-cycle record of balances and allocations; anyone can recompute the root from it.

Robinhood Chain (RHC)

An Arbitrum-based Ethereum L2. Chain ID 4663. Gas is paid in ETH.

Bridge

The canonical Arbitrum bridge (portal.arbitrum.io/bridge) that moves PAXG between Ethereum and Robinhood Chain.

Troy ounce

The standard unit for precious metals. One troy ounce = 31.1035 grams. One PAXG = one troy ounce of gold.

LBMA

London Bullion Market Association. Sets the standards Paxos' gold conforms to.
