The hold bonus
By default Ore delivers your gold every cycle. The hold bonus is for holders who would rather wait.
Flip “hold my gold” on the dashboard — one small transaction, done once. From then on your gold accrues instead of being delivered, and every full cycle it waits adds five percent to the eventual payout, capping at 1.30x after six cycles (ninety minutes). Claim whenever you like; claiming pays everything at your multiplier and restarts the clock. Flip the switch and nothing is lost either way — delivered gold was paid in full, accrued gold never expires.
| Cycles held | Time | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | — | 1.00x |
| 1 | 15 min | 1.05x |
| 2 | 30 min | 1.10x |
| 3 | 45 min | 1.15x |
| 4 | 60 min | 1.20x |
| 5 | 75 min | 1.25x |
| 6+ | 90 min | 1.30x (cap) |
Why the cap
An uncapped multiplier would compound unbounded liabilities. At 1.30x, patience is rewarded without dominating position size, which remains the primary driver of earnings.
The bonus and the reserve
Base entitlements always pay in full or the claim reverts; the bonus above base degrades gracefully if the free reserve is momentarily short. Nothing is forfeited.
